The International Seaplane Regatta MontAdria revives Montenegro’s rich seaplane heritage, honoring the brave pioneers and remarkable events that once shaped the Adriatic Sea and skies a century ago. While time erased monarchies, new dreams take flight in our mission to return seaplanes to their historic home in Montenegro and across the Mediterranean orbis.

Montenegro has a great potential, to be the key partner in the development of a unique network of Sustainable Water Aerodromes and thus use the rich water resources in cooperation with Italy, Greece and Albania and to develope it through Interreg IPA CBC. This was concluded at the meeting of Italian delegation of Aviazione Marittima Italiana with Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism with MontAdria as the main coordinator of the project in Montenegro.

Sport Billy
The final leg of our Regatta run through southern region of Montenegro coast. We use there three sites for landing. After 20 years, our seaplanes amphibian landed on the grass strip of Airfield of Ulcinj for the first time. In order to use this strip Sport Billy use their machinery to make it flat. They organise refreshment and sweets in the tent settled at the middle of the grass strip. It was so natural and funny.
